Durwood,
Sorry to read in the Courier Leader of the passing of Janice. I'm sure that she is in a better place now.
I know you have a lot of memories of the wonderful years you had together.
I remeber how she loved her horses.
My hauling straw back from Ludington for her.
We send our deepest sympathy to you
and your family. Our prayers are with you, Mark and Sue.

Dear Manning family,
I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I am very thankful to have known Janice, for she blessed my family with love; love of a horse. She truly knows that love and was able to pass it on. My mare Eclipse was born June 14th, 1992, and I remember Janice and Carl coming to the house to meet her, and how proud she was of Eclipse. She thought she was born with the spirit of happiness and knew that she would grow on to do great things. I am trully thankful for that blessing. Eclipse taught me so much of the horse mind, body and spirit; and that I owe all to Janice. Thank you for sharing your love of horses! God bless your family in their time of need.

Mrs. Manning was an inspiration to this horse crazy girl as I was growing up. Our family (parents Bill and Sandy Hale and brother Dan)came to know her and her wonderful husband through the fabulous Morgan horse. My dad and I would drool over her gorgeous horses. I remember my dad offering more than once to buy Jerry as a mate for our team. I still own my 28 yr. old gelding that Mrs. Manning helped us find. We had many wonderful talks and I kept in touch with her even into my adult years....sadly and regretfully I had let that slip over the past few years. She was an inspirational model and representation to me of what a woman can do with her life. She shared her intelligence, wisdom and passion for her horses with me (especially during their plight with Black Walnut Toxicosis)and I will be forever touched and grateful. I wish her peace in heaven and know that she is hugging and brushing her beloved Chad and Jerry again.
