To my uncle Ron, not a day has gone by since the day I heard you had passed, that I don't think of you and all the good memories I had of you. I looked forward to seeing you and grandma every weekend in Calumet City. My mouth watered every time I opened the door to your house and smelled all the delicious food you used to make. You were such a good cook! I looked forward to all the holidays that we spent together and loved watching your face as you opened the fruitcake that my parents used to give you each year. You never ate them but told us you would use them for hockey pucks. :) You would laugh so loud when you found out what it was and before long, all of us would be crying from laughing so much.
I loved visiting you and grandma when you moved to Florida. You used to take my dad and I fishing and for a ride on your boat. We would then go out to eat and you would order all you can eat oysters. If I recall right, your record was 3 dozen. You sure loved seafood!
Visiting you in Michigan was always fun too. There was always something to do including swimming in your pool, going for a ride on the Pontoon boat, going fishing and even running up and down the stairs in your house was fun. You could see all of Lake Michigan from the upstairs bedroom.
All the good memories of you will remain with me forever. I love you and miss you.
Your niece,
Laura

Ron was like an uncle to our daughters who loved him very much. They always looked forward to seeing him. We will especially remember all the good times we spent with him over the holidays. Ron was a very thoughtful, caring, and giving man who will always have a special place in our hearts. We will miss him dearly. Our thoughts and prayers go to him and the loved ones he touched so deeply.
