Barb passed away Wednesday afternoon, March 5, 2008 at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo. She was born April 26, 1927 in Kalamazoo the daughter of the late Russell and Jane (Hutt) Simpson. On October 10, 1969 in St. Joseph, MI Barb was united in marriage to Robert A. Emerson who preceded her in death on Feb. 24, 1995. She was also preceded in death by a sister and a brother. Surviving are a daughter, Patricia (Dennis) Smith of Shipshewana, IN; 3 sons, Steven (Patricia) Ayres of Paw Paw, Joel (Karen) Ayres of Paw Paw and Randy (Colleen) Ayres of Gobles; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Sunday 3-6 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw. A private interment will be at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI. |
