Mrs. Viola Mae Gibson, 78, of Dowagiac passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Bronson Hospital, Kalamazoo. She was born May 5, 1929 in Niles, and lived in the Paw Paw and Dowagiac areas all of her life. Viola married Paul Gibson April 13, 1946 in Dowagiac. She loved family outings and picnics, reading her Bible, riding in the car, swimming and crocheting. Viola is survived by her husband of 61 years, Paul; 4 children: Bonnie Gibson, Jimmy (Mattie) Gibson, Crystal (William) Dorr, and Peggy (Jack) Hoebeke; 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and one sister. The family will meet friends Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Christ-Centered Church, 34580 M-40 Highway, Paw Paw, with Pastor Chad LaForce officiating. Interment will take place in Sacred Heart of Mary Cemetery, Dowagiac.
