Stella passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at her home. She was born Aug. 9, 1934 in Cleveland, OH the daughter of the late Salvatore and Josephine (Lentine) Paterno. She attended Ohio University and was a graduate of Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH with a Bachelors degree in accounting. Stella was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church, Paw Paw and loved reading and knitting. Surviving are a son, John M. (Ann) Sallay of Weston, MA; daughter, Karen S. (Mark) Tudor of Mattawan; grandchildren, Jack Sallay of Boston, MA, Meg Sallay of New York, NY, Watson Sallay of Hanover, NH, Amanda Tudor and Kyle Tudor of Mattawan; and a sister, Florence Paterno of Burlington, Iowa. Family will receive friends Monday 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Marys Catholic Church, Paw Paw where a mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Robert F. Creagan celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Paw Paw. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Marys Church, Paw Paw.
