You were my Grandma Frances Clippinger's and my mother Laura (Clippinger) Sirrine neighbor for so many years,I grew up seeing you in your big barn across from my Grandma Frances Clippinger home and always stopping by to talk or we would run across the road and visit with you and get Apple's. Higley's Orchard Down's is only know now by locals who grew up in the neighborhood back in the good old days when neighbor's where people you could count on for help and all the area family Farmer's and Families knew each other like real family. I can remember you Mr.& Mrs Higley when I was just a very young boy,I'd see the barn door open and I knew you were around somewhere and I would stay by my Grandma's front yard and wait to see you and wave at you and get you to visit with me, You were Mr.Higley to me that's what my Mom an Grandma told me to call you. As a young boy that big barn of yours was so cool, and when our school bus use to go by Grandma Clippinger house and your barn I'd always tell everyone that was setting with me on the bus that's my friend Mr.Higley's Farm. Y'all have been missed by many in the Old neighborhood. God be with your family always.

To Mary and Bill and the entire Higley family. My thoughts and prayers go out to each and everyone of you. Ed, was a great man, and one of the things that made him so great was the fact that he was supported by a wonderful and loving wife, his dear sweet Mary. I pray God's comfort will be with each and everyone of you. To Bill...you just don't realize how much you will miss your Dad until he's gone, I am living that right now.
I will be thinking of all of you.
