Mr Erickson was a great teacher who inspired many and was a very encouraging student. He was passionate about his teaching at SMC and always spoke so foundly of his family. I am sorry to hear about his passing even though it was a long time ago and he will be much missed as a great teacher and a wonderful person.
His passion for teaching has made me pursue a teaching and I will be completing my degree at the end of this year.

Physical health prevents me from attending Dan's memorial services, but I would like to aknowledge a contribution he made to science and the Paw Paw Middle School in the past.
Dan was the science teacher and I was the librarian at the time. He contributed a sizeable amount to the library for special science materials for the use of sudents and teachers. We created a special section for the purpose. His contribution ws greatly appreciated as funds were limited for new materials.
I feel Dan should be recognized for his special contribution at this time.
Sincerely, Ruth M. Barrett

Mr. Erickson expressed an interest in every student. He gave me great advice during a very difficult time in my life. I will never forget that he cared. AND he made science fun. Blessings to his family.

Mr. Erickson was a wonderfully talented man. He believed in my abilities as a student which improved my confidence inside and outside of the classroom. He will always hold a special place in my heart. My thoughts go out to his family at this most difficult time. May your memories of Dan and the love from those around you bring you comfort. God bless you.

I first met Dan while competing against him in junior high school track in the shot put. He was a natural in that sport, with his great upper body strength and virtually flawless technique. And even though we were competitors he took me aside to offer tips on how I might improve. Dan and I grew to be friends at Central, and whenever we met in the hallways he would greet me with a smile and that sincere "really glad to see you" handshake of his. Shortly following graduation I received orders to active duty and I lost track of many classmates, and regretfully Dan was one of them. I had always hoped that our paths would cross again one day in this life; now, maybe in the next. Certainly, you, his family, will miss him greatly. Your faith will comfort you. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

So sorry to The Erickson Family for your loss. I always enjoyed Mr. Erickson's Science class and I believe my love for Science transcends back to his classroom. He will be missed by many of his fellow students.

I remember a man quick with a smile and with a REALLY healthy handshake. He's healed now, and smiling again.

ISA. 145:17 THE LORD IS RIGHTEOUS IN ALL HIS WAYS AND LOVING TOWARD ALL HE HAS MADE. THE LORD IS NEAR TO ALL WHO CALL ON HIM, TO ALL WHO CALL ON HIM IN TRUTH. HE FULFILLS THE DESIRES OF THOSE WHO FEAR HIM; HE HEARS THEIR CRY AND SAVES THEM. THE LORD WATCHES OVER ALL WHO LOVE HIM, BUT ALL THE WICKED HE WILL DESTROY. MY MOUTH WILL SPEAK IN PRAISE OF THE LORD. LET EVERY CREATURE PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME FOREVER AND EVER. WE THANK GOD FOR REV. 21:4 HE WILL WIPE EVERY TEAR FROM THEIR EYES. THERE WILL BE NO MORE DEATH OR MOURNING OR CRING OR PAIN, FOR THE OLD ORDER OF THINGS HAS PASSED AWAY.
MAY GOD BLESS AND KEEP YOU, NOW AND FOREVER. MAY HE COVER YOU IN HIS LOVE AND BLANKET YOU IN HIS MERCIES, THEY ARE NEW EVERY MORNING. HE LOVES YOU AND HIS MERCIES ENDURE FOREVER. LOVE YOU.
