first off i'm sorry i wasn't around when this first happened, but my dear friend dawn dvorak informed me about this terrible happening. i would like to send my deepest condolences to mikes family. i met mike at brookfield eat high in 1970 and in no time became best of friends.mike was a great friend and will be dearly missed by all who had the opportunity to meet this fine person.he was a real comedian at times, and a humbole person all in one. we have had literally hundreds of adventures together and never a negative word (maybe frustrating)about anything. he was a riot to be with, and his sense of humor was off the wall, sometimes he would have me crying because of the laughter he would bring to the table. mike will never be forgotten by me and all of "the brookfield boys."mike, rest in peace, believe it or not hes in a much, much better place, and i can just see him and mike mahoney raisen caine up there, the good lord has his hands full, and i'm sure he's enjoying him as much as all of his true friend. i'm gonna miss you pal, i really have so much to say its hard to put on paper. i'm poud to say mike was an important person in my life. mike, enjoy your new place, we will all be joining you some day.R.I.P.-Kerry Johnson-

I don't know where to begin. I have such joyous memories of Mike.We both shared that somewhat warped Irish sense of humor. It would always make for a wild time. I absolutely loved and adored you Michael! You have never been out of my thoughts, nor will you ever be.Until we meet again, I will be missing you.

What sad news it is that Mike is no longer here. I have so many fun memories of him. We (a gang of friends.. and you all know who you are) all grew up into adulthood...together. Oh we did some crazy things and Mike really added to the crazyness of it all. It was some of the best times in life; he will be truely missed.

Mike, what a character! He had a gift for argueing, it didn't matter if he was right or wrong. Heck! He didn't care if he believed in what he disagreeing about. So often he would take a negative stand on something he felt postive about just so he could quarrel. I loved that about him and his mischievous grin. HE will be missed.

Mike was part of my Tennessee family. Tres (my sister) and Phil, as Mike called them, loved Mike like a best friend and brother. I got to be part of the original nursery waste removal team - ie - got to come and get the damaged plants by climbing in the trash pile. It was quite a scene! Mike had the most generous heart and wicked sense of humor. He shared many happy times with my sister and brother-in law - including my newphew's wedding. Mike showed up looking like a movie star with his clothes purchased on the way to the wedding. He was also a friend for hard times. The last time I saw Mike was in February at my brother-in-law's funeral. I suspect he felt really bad but he put on his tough guy face and said he had to be there for Phil and Tres - because they were his friends. We will miss him much - but I think he is already running the QVC network in heaven by now. Grace and peace to his family. Myra Staggs - Nashville TN

Oh the memories. I have known Mike since high school and some of the best memories I have included Mike. I immediately went through my pictures and found many through the years and then I realized that I really don't need pictures to remember him, he will always be in my mind and heart. My only regret is that I haven't seen him in the past 15 or so years. What a character. I'll always remember him and all the millions of good times. He could make me laugh like no other. My many condolences to the family.
