Steve passed away Friday morning, April 11, 2008 at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo after a short illness. He was born August 16, 1930 in Bradley, MI the son of the late John and Justina (Klco) Palenick. Steve was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church, Paw Paw. After many years of employment at Alvan Motor Freight, he and his son owned and operated Steves Tire Service in downtown Paw Paw. In 1957 in Paw Paw Steve was united in marriage to Margaret C. Schlick who preceded him in death on September 19, 1999. He was also preceded in death by a son, Steven G. Palenick on June 27, 2005 and several siblings. Surviving are a brother, John of Allegan and several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. A memorial Mass will be held Thursday, 11 a.m. at St. Marys Catholic Church, Paw Paw with Rev. Fr. Robert F. Creagan celebrant. Interment of cremains will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Paw Paw. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Marys School, Paw Paw. Arrangements are by the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw.
