I did some work around the yard with Lloyd and he told me the story of his lawn mower. He baught it in the 1950's and every spring he would pull it out of the barn and fire it up and it would start every time, every year. He said that the day would come when it might not start and for him it would be like losing a friend. The last time i spoke to Lloyd he needed me to come over and mow the lawn for him. "The tractor", he said, "just wont start". A week later Lloyd was gone too.
I'll miss hearing his stories. He was a great story teller, a great man.
