Sally & Family, Sorry to hear about your Dad. I recently lost my Dad (9/2) too so I know how you feel. It's been many years, but Paw Paw is a small town & you never really forget the people you grew up with. Take care & God Bless, Bill Kesel

Frank Wangberg was my 5th grade teacher in Paw Paw 1964-65. I was a new student having just moved from Ohio and somewhat hesitant about a new school and new friends. Mr. Wangberg was so kind to me and helped me fit in right away. He praised my scholastic efforts every chance he got although I wasn't the best student. I worked with Jean at Dillon Drug Store and remember her as someone equally kind. I worked there with Sally as well. I often think of Mr. Wangberg and even use his name on a password I have where "favorite teacher" is the question!

Mr. Wangberg was my fifth grade teacher at the WMU Campus School during the 1966-67 school year. What a great teacher he was! Some days, instead of saying the pledge of allegiance, he'd have us recite the pledge of conservation. He taught us how to make grape jam with wild grapes we picked in the Kleinstuck Preserve. Just ast week as I was walking my dog through Kleinstuck (I live a half a block from it) I passed by the pine trees he helped us plant. He had such a gentle nature and positive outlook. I feel so lucky to have been his student. My sympathy to all of you who loved him.
