Pam was such an awesome person! I am truely going to miss her as she has been my best friend since 2nd grade. I was so glad that she was part of my life along with my son's, whom she became his godmother. Pam was there for me during my wedding and then my divorce. I was glad to be there for Pam's graduation..apartment moves ... getting her new house... and even that I was privilage to get her back support during her times on need as she has done so many times for us. It seems like Pam has always been around even when we went to different colleges. We ended up living in the same area and even worked in the same school system. I will miss those late night e-mails or IMs, the calls to meet at a store, the 4th of July get-togethers, Chrismas, Superbowl Sudays, many nights of all nighter doing scrapbooking and movies. Pam was my sister as far as I was ever concerned! I've never considered her any other way. If fact my son has only ever called her Aunt Pam. Pam will always be in my thoughts and those memories with her will be with me forever! To the Wiechhand family: thank you so much for always making me feel like family around you. I also felt as if you each were a huge part of my life too. I am so sorry that we have lost this wonderful person, but I know she is watching over us. That is just how Pam is. I love all of you. Also, I wanted to say thank you so much for allowing Garrett to watch over Gus for Aunt Pam. He really appreciated that and loves him so much. Just so you know, Gus has really fit into the family and now we have a part of Aunt Pam with us.

Harry, Dolores and family, Sorry for your loss. I met Pam on one of our visits to mom and dads many years ago and just like the rest of the Weichhand family she treated me kindness. I have read many of the other condolences here and she has touched many lives. I'm glad she was able to touch mine those few times also. Once again I'm very sorry for your loss. Everyone is in our prayers and thoughts may God hold you all very close in this time of sorrow.

Pam will be missed by many. Both of our boys had Pam for their first grade year at PPEE; one of them during her treatments. Pam set a great example for others in her demeanor both personally and professionally. I will never forget her apparent love for what she did and the care she offered my children as her students and all that she gave to her profession and the community (for example, volunteering at Kids Paradise). I know I am a better person for having had the opportunity, albeit brief, to spend time with Pam.

Our son was fortunate to have Pam as his First Grade teacher in 2003. He was so excited when he met her that on the last day of Kindergarten he wanted to make sure I met her too. The week before school started I took my son to see his new classroom. It was obvious that she took great pride in the appearance of her room. She was not in the day we stopped by but it was obvious she had been very busy getting things just right. There was even a note on the chalkboard from the Principal that read, "Your room looks nice Pam." Even though Pam did not have children of her own she cared for her students as if they were her own. That year for Mother's Day she compiled a bunch of receipes that were brought in by the kids. What we parents didn't realize is that she was having the kids create a Mother's Day Booklet with the receipes. She had every page laminated and there was an awesome Mother's Day note in the back - it was so special it made me cry when my son gave it to me. She put much time & effort into this project which showed how much she cared. Pam will be remembered always for her kindness & good heart. I am sure she is in heaven teaching the little ones. Our thoughts & prayers are with you. The Clippinger Family

Pam was a joy to be around. I remember when we went to high school together. She was always bright and bubbly. She always had a smile on her face. I lost touch with Pam but reunited with her at a teachers conference in Grand Rapids. I spoke with her briefly at Costco and found her to be in great spirits. I am very sorry for the loss of a beautiful woman. God has a house full of golden jewels awaiting her. May God Bless the Weichhand family and give you peace.

We are so sorry for your loss. Pam was a wonderful person. John had her for first grade when she first became ill. I remember her apologizing for becoming sick. She was worried about the kids not herself. I had never met such a true caring compassionate loving soul before. If this world could only learn to be just like her it would be a better place.

Tim and Lisa, you have my deepest sympathy on this difficult day. Times and events like this make little sense within our human minds, but rest in the assurance that God's plan is not temporal, but eternal. How cool is that? Happy Birthday, Pam! Welcome home, my good and faithful servant. You and your family will be in my thoughts today. Much love always my dear friends.

We were so sorry to hear of Pam's passing. When I came to Paw Paw to work with students, I found her to be a teacher who cared so much for each and every student, but especially those most in need of extra attention. I learned of her love for animals when I discovered a stray kitten that came into the building. Pam agreed to "foster" the cat, but I soon knew it wouldn't need another home. She took it in, nursed it back to health and loved it just as she did every one of her students. We will always remember her caring, gentle nature, and miss her warm smile. We love the Weichhand Family and for the time Pam spent with Jennifer and Rich when they were growing up. We remember all the fun they had doing things together, especially the dancing and recitals. I felt so lucky when Pam would include me in her e-mails to let us know how she was doing. We are so very sad and send our prayers and thoughts to all. Jennifer and Rich also send their sympathy and love.

Our condolences to the whole Weichhand extended family. I worked with Pam at PPEE for eight years and had the honor of calling her a friend. And that is what it was, an honor to be a friend to someone like Pam who was a kind, gentle soul who truely cared for others more than herself. Her dedication to her family, her faith, her students and her friends was beyond measure and her positive influence on us all will be sorely missed.

I attended elementary and high school with Pam and she and I were dear friends from 4th grade on. We used to have sleepovers and play at the park near their home in St. Joe. We lost touch after school, but were reunited at our last high school reunion. Pam seemed SO happy and it was wonderful to see how well she was doing. She talked all about her teaching and how much she loved it. I was very taken aback to receive the call from my mother about Pam's passing. Your family is in my prayers.

I remember Pamela as a tiny little girl who lived down the street on the corner in our neighborhood with her wonderful family, friendly parents and all her brothers who were the same age as my children. Please accept our condolences for her loss. We know she is resting in the arms of our Savior and we take comfort in that. Sending love from the Schmal family - Jeff, Kris and mom Janet.

I'm so sad to hear about Pam. Pam was the sweetest person in our class at LMC. She always had a smile on her face and never said an unkind word to anyone. She and I often called each other "Birthday Sisters" because we were born on the same day. I'll still be thinking of her every year on June 8th. Much love to her family. Tirzah

Pam was a wonderful friend to both my husband and myself. Pam and I became friends when we worked together at CDC. Countless memories of Pam flood my memory as I remember not only her joy of life, but also her kind, giving spirit. Her faith was uplifting to me. Her loss will be deeply felt by so many people. Our condolences and prayers go out to her family at this time. However, we have faith that she will always be with us and will smile down on us from a far better place.

Pam was one of my dear college roommates and beloved friends from WMU. Her spirit was so gentle and she radiated joy every time I saw her. Pam and I shared many spiritual talks over the years and I came to recognize her as a woman of tremendous faith. She was an example of strength and unwaivering faith. In my last conversation with her, just last week, she talked about how she knew she was in God's hands and that is how she could get through anything. Even though I feel strongly that she is in the loving arms of our Lord, she will be sorely missed by our group of friends and me. Pam always rejoiced for blessings in others' lives and carried a positive attitude about her own life, regardless of the struggle. I love Pam very much and I will miss her sweet voice and gentle spirit. I am uplifted by her faith and I find comfort seeing how she lived and believing she is truly in a place of joy and peace. In Christ's love, Vicki (Limbers)Natsis

I'm so sorry your family has another loss. I worked with Dave at First Resource/United Federal Credit Union. Unfortunately, I didn't know him long, but he was the guy you didn't have to know long before you knew he was your friend. I didn't know Pam, but Dave would keep us informed about his little sister. He would often sent emails to let us know how his "little sister" was doing. She was in our thoughts and prayers many days. May God hold your family in the palm of his hand and give you his peace. Sincerely, Jan Ogonowski

When we moved into our home we couldn't have known how lucky we were to have a neighbor like Pam. She was a constant blessing to our family, just by being there for fun and difficult times. I could call her whenever I needed to talk about anything. She would hold Aiden at night so I could take our dogs out even if it was "late". Butch started mowing her yard and then never let her do it again, and enjoyed doing it everytime. She was there when I went into labor and came to our house at 1am to sleep on our couch as we headed to the hospital. She was the kindest person that we have ever been blest to meet and we will miss her always.

Pam was a true respresentation of what a teacher should be. She loved her students unconditionally and they knew that. Her kind heart was always evident, and she would go out of her way to help anyone (even a stray cat or two!). Pam, you will truly be missed - not only by the Early El. staff but by all of your Later El. colleagues who loved you as well. God Bless.

Pam was one of the kindest and sweetest people I have ever known. Her spirit, smile and generosity made it a pleasure to be around PPEE. She will be missed by so many people. May all of our tears and hurt be comforted by the memories we have of Pam and the light that shone so brightly around her as a person.
