Kathy passed away Saturday evening, October 25, 2008 at Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo. Kathy was born August 3, 1948 in Paw Paw the daughter of David and Dorothy Smith. She was a 1966 graduate of Paw Paw High School and was employed as a loan secretary for a Loan Company in Albany, IN. She loved knitting, crocheting, sewing, gardening and taking care of her pets. She was preceded in death be her father, David Smith and an infant grandson, Nicholas Brusach. Surviving are her mother, Dorothy Smith of Paw Paw; son Brian (Ann Marie) Brusach of Paw Paw; grandchildren, Katelyn and Matthew Brusach; sister, Judy (Robert) Surdy of Mattawan; brother, David (Suzanne) Smith of Decatur; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Family will receive friends Wednesday noon to 2 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Paw Paw. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
