MY first "job" was working for Marion and Clifford Landers picking asparagus.. At 5;00am, they were so full of fun and good will. MY brother, Ralph, and sister, Marilyn and I were "the crew".. The Landers family were a wonderful, giving, fun loving family. There wasn`t anything Marion wouldn`t do for her friends or even strangers. Carolyn and Marion made my wedding cake as a gift. It was beautiful. At this most difficult time, our hearts and love are with you.

Wow, a legend has passed... Mrs. Landers was one of the first people in my life who truly took me under her wing and helped me to get a start in life. The Tastee-Freez was my first job, and she paid part of my wages in rolls of dimes, because she knew I was collecting them, to save for my honeymoon. She and her daughter Carolyn made my wedding cake, which was her gift, and another typically supportive gesture on her part. She was so much fun to work for; I'll never forget cutting a piece of her homemade pie and walking right up to the ice cream machine to top it off! I have a lot of great memories of that summer (1967). What a grand lady, awesome woman and friend. God bless the family during this difficult time. Love, Barb Alden
