Paw Paw
Janet passed away Friday morning, Nov. 21, 2008 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. Janet was born Nov. 11, 1937 in Watervliet, MI the daughter of the late Harry and Beulah (Munger) Brooks. She was a member of the Oakland Drive Church of Christ and a 4-H leader. In later years Janet and her husband Bruce operated an Elephant Ear and Ice Cream concession from May thru October. On June 6, 1959 Janet was united in marriage to Bruce Wiley who preceded her in death on May 1, 2001. She was also preceded in death by a son, Brian Wiley and a brother, Richard Brooks. Surviving are a son, Gary (Linda) Wiley of Pensacola, FL; daughter, Diane (Phil) Benedict of Paw Paw; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; 3 sisters, Twila McCoy of Benton Harbor, Delores Ball of Houston, TX and Dixie Tischler of Austin, TX; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Monday 1 to 3 p.m. at the ADAMS FUNERAL HOME, Paw Paw where funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. with Pastor Michael OBerski officiating Interment will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Paw Paw. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oakland Drive Church of Christ. |

Janet was a dear sister and lifelong friend. She lived life with all the energy and zest she had. She loved her children and grandchildren with a deep abiding love. May she rest in eternal peace.
