Of Paw Paw
Al passed away Saturday afternoon, January 24, 2009 at Bronson Nursing and Rehab Center in Lawton. He was born September 13, 1924, in Mattawan, the son of Frederick and Stella Krause. Al was a veteran of World War II, proudly serving his country in the U.S. Air Force. Al was retired from Allied Paper Company where he worked for over 30 years, enjoyed gardening, ice fishing and was a member of the McGowan-Johnson Post #68 of the American Legion.
On, June 2, 1962, in Paw Paw, Al was united in marriage to the former Stella Wrona, who survives. Also surviving are a step-son, William Grudecki of Paw Paw; a son-in-law, Roger (Bernice) Franks, of Paw Paw; 2 nieces and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 2 step-daughters.
Family will receive friends Tuesday from 3-5 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Cemetery, Paw Paw. Memorial contributions may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
