Kalamazoo

Sue went home to be with the Lord Thursday morning, Feb. 5, 2009 at Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo. She was born August 27, 1948 in Midland, MI the daughter of the late Robert and Irene (Smith) Peasley. She was a member of the Grace Fellowship Church in Kalamazoo and devoted her life to her church, was custodian for many years and was a former missionette leader for 10 years. Sue loved knitting, puzzles, fishing, plastic canvas needle point and a very giving and special person. On March 23, 1974 in Cadillac, Sue was united in marriage to Larry T. Nystrom who survives. Also surviving are 2 brothers, Edward Peasley of Cadillac and Richard (Sharon) Peasley of Harrietta, MI; 3 sisters, Nettie (Al) Levandorki of LaPorte, IN, Pat (Corky) Howe of San Jon, NM and Glenda Toler of Riner, VA; many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. Family will receive friends Thursday (Feb. 12) 5 to 6 p.m. at the Grace Fellowship Church, Kalamazoo followed by services to celebrate her life at 6 p.m. with Rev. Thomas E. Pace officiating. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Cadillac, MI. Memorial contributions in memory of Sue may be made to the Grace Fellowship Church. Arrangements are by the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw.

Sue is now watching over us and she continues to help us. She will greatly be missed. I had the pleasure of giving her a helping hand when she needed it, and in return she did the same for me. She did a lot for our activity department at Heartland, as did Larry. We are forver grateful. She truly will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I will always remember our walks home from school and talking about our future plans. Sue always wanted to reach out and help others. I think she will be helping the angels in heaven. And when she finds her mother, they will be having a great time together.

Uncle Larry and brothers and sisters of Sue. I am sorry to hear of the death of Aunt Sue, She was a wonderful, caring woman of God and I know she will be missed by many. Mom always loved her so.

Dear uncle Larry, it's Jodi Judy's daughter I am so sorry that aunt sue passed away. I can remember all the times we went to the apartment and riding in the corvette. If there is anything I can do please let me know. I just wish you guys could have met my daughter aunt sue and you would have loved her to peaces. I remember you both bringing christ into my life. thank you so much love in christ jodi

sue and i had been friends many years ago befor her marriage. one of my best memories of her were sitting in her apartment talking and snacking. i had never had cheesecake before and when she asked me if i would like some i thought that a block of cheese in cake could not be good. she was a very kind and friendly person i wish we had not lost track of each other. I know she will be sadly missed,as i am very sorry to hear of her death. sincerely phyllis a. brainerd (truax)
