Ellene Prehn Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1918 - 2009 Age: 90 PREHN, Ellene Lawton Ellene passed away Saturday morning, February 28, 2009 at Bronson Nursing and Rehab Center in Lawton. She was born July 7, 1918 in Lawton, MI the daughter of the late Charlie and Jessie (Grimm) Buckmaster. She was a member of the Lawton Evangelical Mennonite Church, and loved word search and old game shows. On January 5, 1948 in Paw Paw, Ellene was united in marriage to Leland J. Prehn who preceded her in death on January 29, 1995. Surviving are 3 children, Judy (Dennis) Carter and Sandra Antles both of Lawton and William (Janet) Caine of Plainwell; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter and 1 great great grandson due in April. Family will receive friends Tuesday evening 6-8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m. with Rev. Roger Andrews of the Lawton Mennonite Church officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Lawton. Memorial contributions may be made to Bronson Nursing & Rehab Center Patient Activity Fund or charity of choice.

I am so sorry about Ellene. I'm glad we were able to see her this summer. I know she enjoyed the reunion and her 90th birthday party. She will be missed. Love Lisa (from Boston)
