Stephen passed away Saturday morning, March 7, 2009 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo with his family at his side.. He was born September 10, 1907 in Cicero, IL the son of the late Stephen J. and Antoinette (Sadecky) Minarik. Stephen managed the family grape farm, was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church, Paw Paw. He loved reading science and health books, was a very kind person with a sharp mine until the end and loved his family very much. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Joseph (Adeline), Andrew and John (Eleanor) Minarik; sister, Antionette (Dwaine) Rice. brothers-in-law, Roman Stieber, Adam Wojciechowski, Marcus Javor, and Kenneth Stanton. Surviving are 5 sisters, Josephine Minarik of Battle Creek, Ann Stanton of Paw Paw, Mildred Javor of Charlotte, Margaret Wojciechowski and Alice Stieber of Kalamazoo; 19 nieces and nephews, 42 grand nieces and nephews;31 great grand nieces and nephews; 11 great great grand nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Tuesday 6 to 8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where a vigil service will be held Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m. a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Paw Paw, with Rev. Fr. Stanly Witek celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Paw Paw. Memorial contributions may be made to Sat. Marys Church.
