Paw Paw
Jim passed away Wednesday evening, March 18, 2009 at Bronson LakeView Hospital in Paw Paw. He was born January 18, 1926 in Chicago , IL the son of the late James C. and Anastasia (Koca) Holub. After high school he played Triple A baseball for the Chicago Cubs farm team with his baseball career interrupted by World War II. Jim was a paratrooper with the U.S. Army serving in the Philippines and Luzon with Co. F. 187th Glider Inf. He was employed by Kal-Blue Reprographics in sales until his retirement in 1989 after which he loved to play golf. Jim was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church, Paw Paw; Knights of Columbus Council #3798, Paw Paw and the American Legion, McGowan-Johnson Post # 68, Paw Paw. On September 11, 1948 in Chicago, IL he was united in marriage to Phil Morgal who survives. Also surviving are a son, Dean (Charlene) Holub of Pentwater, MI; daughter, Debbie (Jim) Nufer of Paw Paw; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. Private family services will be held at a later date with interment of cremains in St. Marys Cemetery, Paw Paw. Memorial contributions may be directed to American Lung Association (emphysema) Foundation of Michigan. Arrangements are by the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw.
