Sally passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at Bronson Nursing and Rehab Center in Lawton. She was born December 6, 1926 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Albert and Nancy (Reinbold) Dobbins. On July 27, 1962 in Angola, IN Louise was united in marriage to Jacob Emaar, who preceded her in death in 2005. Sally was active in the senior citizens groups in both Paw Paw and Lawrence. She was owner of the Red Arrow Tavern in Lawrence and worked in the meat department at Meijer in Kalamazoo. She loved bingo and staying busy with the activities at Miller Court where she was resident for over 20 years. Sally is survived by a son, Dale (Lois) Emaar of Vicksburg; a daughter, Marilyn (David) Dennany of Kalamazoo; two brothers, Albert Dobbins of Casa Grande, AZ and Frank Dobbins of Gulfport, MS; a sister Frances Marcinak of Glendale, AZ; her best friend and "adopted sister," Dixie Schauer; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw, Rev. Henry DeVries officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Cremation will follow the service with interment at Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials may be directed to the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission or Loaves and Fishes.
