Of Paw Paw
Jack passed away Friday, July 31, 2009 at his home. He was born November 24, 1936 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Joseph and Mary (O'Connor) Connelly. Jack was a former teacher at Eisenhower High School in Blue Island, IL and belonged to the Illinois Teachers Union. He was also a member of the Paw Paw Eagle's and enjoyed woodworking, gardening, robotics and computer aided drafting. Jack served his country during the Viet Nam War as a Sergeant in the United States Army National Guard. He is survived by his wife, Linda (Boysen); his children, John "Jack" (Caroline) Connelly, Jr. (Sgt. CPD) of Chicago, Donna Cais of Phoenix, AZ, Shirley (Glen) Luce or Orland Park, IL, and Kathy (Donald) Pinto of Columbus, OH; a step-son, Kevin Welch of Paw Paw; 3 grandchildren, Katie, Gabriel and Mia; Brothers Frank (Lauretta) Connelly of Palos Hills, IL, Joe (Pat) Connelly of Midlothian, IL, Kevin Connelly of Midlothian, IL; many nieces and nephews.
Cremation will take place. A memorial mass will be held at 11 AM Monday (8/3) at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Paw Paw. Burial in Glendale Cemetery, Glendale, MI. Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan or Bronson Home Health. Arrangements by Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw.
