
John E. Baker at the age of 80 passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at his home with his loving family at his bedside. He was born on August 28, 1931 in Longview, Texas to Walter and Alpha Baker. John served from 1950-54 in the US Air Force. He moved to Kerrville from Comfort. John married Wilma Bonham on August 29, 1975 in San Antonio Texas. He owned and operated San Saba Cap Company since the 1980's. John loved to fish and was a great handyman. He was a member of the Shriners, Masonic Lodge and the Lion's Club.
He is preceded in death by his parents and son Jay Baker.
John is survived by his loving wife of 36 years Wilma Baker of Kerrville, Texas; 2 sons John R. Baker and wife Maureen and Andy Baker Both of Kerrville, Texas; 3 daughters Lisa Di Giacomo and husband Guy of Arizona, Lou Cinda Pohler and husband Gordon of Fredericksburg, Texas and Jenny Sargent and husband Bob of West Point, Texas; brother Bob Baker and wife Barbara of Kerrville, Texas; Also, 6 grandchildren along with many other family members and dear friends that will love and cherish the memory of John.
