Selma Evitts Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1915 - 2009 Funeral services for Selma 'Tommie' Evitts, 93, of Warren will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following in Big Sandy Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Evitts passed away June 28, 2009 at a relative's home in Corpus Christi. A native of Hicksbaugh, Mrs. Evitts was a long time resident of Warren. She was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Selma never met a stranger and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Mrs. Evitts was preceded in death by her husband Rex Evitts. Survivors include her children Jean Taylor, T. J. Forsyth and L. Rex Evitts and wife Lenore; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and five great, great grandchildren. The family would like to express a very special thank you to Bill and Linda Dickie.

Jean, Terri, Susan and Tracie, I know you will miss her, but she lived her life to the fullest. If ever you needed a good life, go see Tommie! She was one of a kind. She loved her church but she also loved her family. She will be missed, she was the glue that held the family together. Just remember, she is smiling down on you always and she will sent her angels to get you! She always had a way of knowing what to say or do.
