W R 'Sam' Shannon Jr. Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1935 - 2009 Graveside services for Sam Shannon Jr., of Barlow Lake Estates, will be 2:00 pm Sunday July 12, 2009 at Lakeside Cemetery in Town Bluff. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Saturday at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. Mr. Shannon died July 10, 2009 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Vernon, Tx, Sam was a long time resident of Beaumont. He was a retired lab technician for Big Three Industries and proudly served his country in the US Marines during the Korean War. Survivors include his wife Diane Shannon of Barlow Lake Estates; brother and wife Norman and Betty Shannon of Groves; three nephews; one niece; five great nieces and four great nephews.
