Ms. Iver Smith Griffith, age 72, of 119C Maple Dr., Buchanan passed away Saturday, December 27, 2003. Ms. Griffith was born in Haralson County on June 13, 1931. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Herman Edward Smith and the late Mrs. Rose Cline Smith. Ms. Griffith was a retired seamstress.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ludie (Melissa) Griffith of Fruithurst, AL; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Gene Collins of Buchanan and Mrs. Dorothy Smith of Bremen; two brothers, Mr. Freddy Smith and Mr. Robert Smith both of Bremen; two grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, and otehr relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 29, 2003 at 3:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Wayne Pike and Mr. Danny Hutcheson officiating. Music will be rendered by Miss Valerie McWhorter and Rev. Buddy Gentry. Interment will follow in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Dennis Smith, Gary Smith, Alan Collins, Larry Lepard, Alan Griffith, Andy Smith, Bill Smith, Jr., and Michael Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be: Steve Adams, C.W. Ploof, James Lepard, David Griffith, and Jonathan James.
Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
