1933 - 2004
Mrs. Edna Faye Perry Deering, age 70, of 37 Five Points Rd., Buchanan passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2004. Mrs. Deering was born in Haralson County on February 11, 1933. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Grover Clarence Perry and the late Mrs. Nellie Mae Morris Perry. Mrs. Deering was retired from the Arrow Shirt Co. where she was a supervisor. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Hubert Guy Deering.
Survivors include her children: Johnny and Glenda Deering Smith of Bremen, Joe and Karen Deering Jones of Buchanan, Jimmy and Kaye Cheatwood of Buchanan, Johnny and Judy Cheatwood of Rome, Mitchell and Darice Cheatwood of Buchanan, Thad and April Cheatwood of Buchanan, and Chad and Christine Cheatwood of Calif.; grandchildren: Jennifer and Jacob Tidwell, and Gabriel and Sherry Jones; great grandchildren: Tyler and Rheanna Cheatwood, Samantha and Sklar Cheatwood, and Jake Tidwell, and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 30, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Danny Hutcheson officiating. Music will be rendered by the Robinson Family. Interment will follow in the Buchanan City Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Thad Cheatwood, Mitchell Cheatwood, Tyler Cheatwood, Joseph Arp, Arlin McCall, and Mark Bush.
Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
