Mr. David Paul Gilmer, age 48, of 2627 Browning Rd., Rockmart passed away Saturday, October 9, 2004. Mr. Gilmer was born in Fulton County on August 16, 1956. He was the son of late Mr. Hubert S. Gilmer and the late Mrs. Irene Maddox Gilmer. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandchild, Colby.
Survivors include two daughters and their spouses, Tasaka Gilmer and Chris Dale of Austell, and Michelle and Josh Williams of Waco; one son and his spouse, Chris and Shirley Gilmer of Beaufort, SC; one sister, Wanda McElroy of Bremen; five brothers, James Gilmer of Rockmart, Kenneth Gilmer of Rockmart, Clarence Gilmer of Buford, Jackie Gilmer of Rockmart, and Ricky Gilmer of Valdosta; seventeen grandchildren, Ryan, Jessica, Courtney, Chelsea, Dustin, Deirra, Hanna, Conner, Adam, Amanda, Shane, Christina, Shawn, and Chandler.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 13, 2004 at 3:00 P.M. from Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Eddie Waits officiating. Interment will follow in the Melrose Hills Memorial Gardens with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Chris Crabtree, Steve Mitchell, Wesley Gilmer, Jeff Newton, Paul McElroy, and Michael Upton.
Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
