Mr. William Hoyt Worthy, age 68, of Buchanan passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2004. Mr. Worthy was born in Haralson County on February 18, 1936. He was the son of the late Fred Worthy and Mildred Lyle Worthy of Buchanan. Mr. Worthy was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a retired brick mason.
Survivors include his wife, Aline Morris Worthy of Buchanan; one daughter, Beppy Thompson of Buchanan; two sons, Dennis Worthy of Buchanan and Jeff Worthy of Buchanan; one sister, Venice Grimshaw of Tallapoosa; two brothers, Wilma Worthy of Douglasville and Donald Worthy of Buchanan; mother, Mildred Lyle Worthy of Buchanan; eleven grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 18, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. from Tabernacle Baptist Church with Rev. Buddy Gentry and Rev. Charles Worthy officiating. Music will be rendered by Rev. Buddy Gentry. Interment will follow in the Tabernacle Baptist Church Cemetery.
