Mr. Hugh Randall Akin, age 78, of Buchanan passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2004. Mr. Akin was born in Dade County, Florida on August 10, 1926. He was the son of the late Hugh R. Akin and the late Helen Virginia Walker Akin. Mr. Akin was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in both World War II and the Korea. He was also a retired truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta Jean Barber Akin of Buchanan.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 27, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel with Danny Hutcheson officiating. Music will be rendered by Rev. Buddy Gentry. Interment will follow in the Buchanan City Cemetery.
