Ms. Lillian Romaine Myers, 84, was born September 22, 1919 in Wayne, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Dora (Blake) and Massie Myers. Ms. Myers received both education and religious training in Huntington, West Virginia. She was preceded in death her parents, sister Dorothy; brothers Spencer Blake ( Ruby Reeve Myers), Major M. (Joan Bittean Jones Myers) and Dan Myers (Betty Myers), and a good friend Eloise Branche. After years of working, she met and relocated with a prominent family Jerry and Dobbie Schiff to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Schiff family not only proved to be a family who cared and looked after Romaine, but proved to be friends-like family. (Thank you, sincerely from all of us, the Myers family, we appreciate you). She reared four children whom she cared a lot for Kimberly Gongol, Tracy Van Den Boomen, Eric (Ricky) Schiff and Steven (Stevie) Schiff. Romaine realized and recognized the importance of family. Strong family oriented Romaine would make her yearly trips back home to cousin Carmicheal’s house, especially around holidays and summer. Romaines strong will, Witt and sassiness made her an extraordinary and unique person, who devoted herself dealing with everyday life, loved ones, family, people she knew and many friends to make it better or to try to. (How do you describe such an extraordinary person in just a few short paragraphs?) Surviving Kimberly, Tracy, Ricky and Stevie also are her many neices, many nephews, many great nieces and nephews, many great-great nieces and nephews and a great-great-great nephew. Services will be 1:00PM Staturday, September 18, 2004 at The Glorious Church of God In Christ, with Pastor Martha Johnson, Officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington, WV.
