Roberta Hayes VanHoose 65 of Louisa, Ky. went to be with the Lord on Wednesday February 26, 2003. Roberta was born August 27, 1937 in Charley, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Farris and Nova Stambough Hayes.
She was a member of the Meades Branch Freewill Baptist Church were she taught Sunday School for apx. 30 years. She also served as treasurer of the Woman’s Auxiliary and an Honorary Youth Group Member. She was a retired after 19 years as the Cafeteria Manager of the Louisa Middle School.
Roberta was preceded in death by 2 granddaughters: Elisabeth Carter and Rebekah Carter.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years George W. VanHoose.
2 Sons: Roger and wife Patricia of Louisa, and Doug VanHoose of Louisa, Ky.
A Daughter: Debra and husband Dock Carter of Louisa
7 Grandchildren: Roger Jr., Dock II and wife Amanda, Joseph, George Roy, George Elbert, Christopher, and Jessica.
4 Brothers: Dr. James A. Hayes and wife Wanda, Bert Hayes and wife Doris, Earl Hayes and wife Deloris all of Louisa, Ky. and Fred and wife Jackie of Smyrna, Georgia.
2 Sisters: Edath Conley and Ruby and husband James VanHoose all of River, Ky.

Dr. James A. Hayes, Rev. Jimmy Bevins, Rev. Willie Gene Hayes, and Rev. Glen VanHoose will conduct funeral services at 2:00 pm Saturday March 1st at the Meades Branch Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery Louisa, Ky. Friend may call after 2:00 pm Friday at Wilson Funeral Home Louisa, Ky.
