Dixie E. Bates 91 of Mansfield, Ohio formerly of Lawrence County Ky. passed away Tuesday June 17, 2003 at Mansfield, Ohio.
Dixie was born August 29, 1911 at Louisa, Ky. the daughter of the late Harlan and Amanda France Reynolds. She was a homemaker and member of the VFW Auxiliary at Louisa, Ky. and also a member of the Christian Life Center Church.
She was preceded in death by two husbands Gould Muncy and James Bates
Survivors include:
A Son: Ray Muncy
5 Daughters: Wanda Steffens, Bernice (Raymond) Thompson, Mexie Muncy, Violet Muncy, and Jenny (Dorsey) Davis.
A Sister: Vivian Stumbo
29 Grandchildren & Several Great Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by a son: Bennett W. Muncy Sr. 2 Sisters: Charlotte Reynolds & Garnett Roberts and 2 Brothers: Lawrence and Homer Cox.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Sunday June 22nd at the Muncy Family Cemetery at Smokey Valley, Ky.
Arrangements are under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home.
