WAYNE SCOTT HAMPTON 71 OF ASHLAND, KY. FORMERLY OF LOUISA, KY. PASSED AWAY SATURDAY JULY 5, 2003 AT SAINT MARYS HOSPITAL IN HUNTINGTON, W.VA.

WAYNE WAS BORN JANUARY 26, 1932 IN LOUISA, KY. THE SON OF THE LATE BERT AND NORA CLAY HAMPTON. HE WAS A RETIRED PLANT MANAGER FOR ASHLAND ASPHALT CO. AND RETIRED FROM MEADE CONSTRUCTION.

HE WAS A US ARMY KOREAN WAR VETERAN AND MEMBER OF THE FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH LOUISA.

SURVIVORS INCLUDE:

A DAUGHTER AND SON-IN-LAW DEBBIE AND JAMES RATLIFF OF LOUISA, KY.

A SON: WILLIAM HAMPTON OF LOUISA, KY.

FORMER WIFE: MARY LOU HAMPTON OF LOUISA, KY.

3 SISTERS: WILLA BELL FRAZIER OF ASHLAND, KY.

HELEN WILSON OF LOUISA, KY. AND IDA ANN HOLBROOK OF ASHLAND, KY.

A BROTHER: WESLEY HAMPTON OF MORGANFIELD, KY.

A GRANDDAUGHTER: BIANCA LYCANS

A GREAT GRANDAUGHTER: SARAH LYCANS

HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY A BROTHER: CARL CLAY HAMPTON

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE CONDUCTED ON TUESDAY JULY 8TH AT 11:00 AM AT WILSON FUNERAL HOME BY REV. RIC FRAZIER.

BURIAL WILL FOLLOW IN THE BOLTS FORK CEMETERY AT BOLTS FORK, KY.

FRIENDS MAY CALL AFTER 4:00 PM MONDAY AT WILSON FUNERAL HOME.

MILITARY GRAVESIDE RITES WILL BE CONDUCTED BY MEMBERS OF THE W.O. JOHNSON AMERICAN LEGION POST 89 AND VETERAN OF FOREIGN WARS POST 6103.

I want to offer my deepest sympathy. Wayne was always very nice to me and my family. He will be missed. My prayers are with Mary Lou, Debbie, William and the other members of his family. It is sometimes hard to understand when a loved one passes away, but God has His plans for each of us.
