Geraldine Gerri Compton Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1934 - 2005 Gerri Compton 71, of Louisa, Ky. went to be with the Lord Monday October 24, 2005. Gerri was born August 6th 1934 at Lawrence County, Ky. she is the daughter of Sophia Fannin of Rush, Ky. and the late Drew Fannin. She was a Homemaker and of the Baptist Faith also a member of the Lawrence County Democrat Women’s Club . Gerri is survived by her husband David L. Compton of Louisa Her mother Sophia Fannin of Rush, Ky. Three Daughters Debbie and Randal Lawson, Marda and Ben Hopkins, and Michelle and Rick Miller all of Louisa Two Sons Lance and Tery Compton and Bryan and Sherry Compton all of Louisa Two Sisters Glenda Johnson of Summit, Ky. and Drewetta Layne of Ashland, Ky. Two Brothers Paul Fannin of Ashland, Ky. and Wood Fannin of Rush, Ky. Eight Grandchildren Mikel (Heather) Compton, Taud Compton, Brandy (Heath) Preston, Kelli Skeans, Kyla McCoy, Blake Compton, Jordan Miller, and Morgan Miller Four Great Grandchildren Hunter Hanshaw, Mason Preston, Miles Preston, and Laura Drew Compton Several Nieces and Nephews and many dear friends Funeral services were conducted on Thursday October 27th at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Compton Family Cemetery Louisa, Ky.

Gerri is the best friend i ever had She did more for me than anyone will ever know,she was always there for me .I will never forget all that she did. I will miss her for ever. wanda

Gabriele, the boys and myself send along our deepest regrets at not being able to make it home for aunt Gerri's funeral. Please know you are all in our thoughts and prayers every day. Amazingly our newest son, Riley, was born the day before aunt Gerri's passing. A testament to the circle of life in our family. Please know we love you all so very much.

Debbie,Marda,and Michelle, I just read about the passing of your mother this morning. I am so sorry and wish I could have made it to the funeral, but found out too late. I have nothing but good memories of her although it has been so long since I had seen her. She was always so good to me,especially when all of us were in high school.
