Berlin Ray (Chig) Whitt, 70 of Blaine, Kentucky died Saturday, December 3rd at 3:35 pm surrounded by family and friends at The Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, Kentucky after a short battle with cancer.
Ray was born December 10, 1934, in Lawrence County Ky. He was the son of the late Earn and Hazel Boggs Whitt. Ray was a retired contractor for Foothills Telephone Company.
He was also preceded in death by a sister Loretta.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years Delcie Sparks – Whitt.
Two Daughters Karen Whitt – McDowell and husband Anthony of Blaine, Ky. and Lisa Whitt – Clancy of Georgetown, Ky.
Two brothers Jerry Whitt and Dwight Whitt both of Circleville, Ohio and
Three Sisters Fern Gold, Lois Humphrey, and Kay Ferguson all of Columbus, Ohio.
He has five very special grandchildren whom he loved very much, Kyle, Ashley, Trey, Ryan and Aaron. And several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday December 6th at 1:00 pm at the Cains Creek Free Will Baptist Church by Revs. Mike Roberts and Ford McKenzie. Burial will follow in the Yatesville Memorial Gardens at Louisa.
Friends my call after 3:00 pm Monday at Wilson Funeral Home and after noon on Tuesday at the Cains Creek Free Will Baptist Church.
