
John Elmer Morrow Jr. age 87 was born to the late John Elmer Sr. and Martha Kamm Morrow on February 22, 1919 in Glenville, Nebraska. Our Lord called him home on September 19, 2006. John was a decorated World War II veteran. He was the owner of Morrow Trucking Company of Louisa. He owned and drove truck for over 62 years. John was preceded in death by one son, James Morrow of Louisa, KY, three brothers; Robert Morrow of Dallas TX, Donald Morrow of Strawberry CA, Leslie Morrow of Modesto CA, and two sisters: Kathryn Thomas of Modesto CA and Thelma Mitzel of Lynnwood Wa. John is survived by his wife Jaye Louise Morrow, their children: Linda and husband Chuck Croucher of Sellersburg, IN, Ronald and wife Gaylene Morrow of Nippa, KY, Sandra and husband Clinton Delong of Jacksonville AK, Kathryn and husband Heath Webb of Louisa KY, and Kimberly and husband Paul David Prater of Lowmansville KY. A sister Donna McDonald of Techapi CA. Also surviving are grandchildren: Cindy, husband Steve Sanderson, daughter Allison and son Cody, Sonny, wife Tina Tickle, son Zack and daughter Jayce, Jason, wife Laura Morrow, daughter Jadrien and expected son Logan of Lowmansville KY, Jamie Bostic and sons Jacob and Christopher of Vine Grove, KY, Gena, husband Mike Prater, daughter Gracie of Ekron KY, Jon, wife Elizabeth, sons Josh and Jon Allen, daughters Harley and Alexis of Athens TN, Brandy, husband Brian Triplett, son Zack of Louisa, KY, Carla, husband Daniel Marcum, sons Cameron and Caleb of Fort Gay WV, Amanda, husband Jason Cox of Cherry Hill NC, Johnathon Derek and James Blake Morrow Prater of Lowmansville KY, and Emily Kathryn and Ellie Klaire Webb of Louisa KY. Special family friends; Kathy Quinn and Wanda Morrow. Pallbearers will include Ronald Morrow, Jason Morrow, Jon Morrow, Derek Morrow Prater, Heath Webb, Mike Prater, and Paul David Prater.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Wilson Funeral Home at 11:00 am on Friday September 22nd by Rev. Jamie Thornsberry. Burial will follow in the Morrow Family Cemetery on Isaac Park Road Louisa.
The family will be receiving friends after 5:00 pm Thursday at Wilson Funeral Home.
Military Graveside rites will be conducted by the Veterans of Foreign War and American Legion of Lawrence County.
