Alta Burchett Newsome Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1917 - 2007 Minister Obit Alta Burchett Newsome 89 of Charley Kentucky went to be with the Lord on Friday April 20, 2007. Alta was born November 22, 1917 at Twin Branch in Lawrence County, the daughter of the late Fred and Elizabeth Combs Burchett. She was a homemaker. Survivors include: 2 Sons and Daughter-in-laws: George J. and Willa Dean Newsome and Willis and Eva Newsome 5 Granchildren: Sheri and Darwin Blackburn, Theresa Walker, Terry J. and Holly Newsome, Tanya and Nick Vanover, and Matthew Newsome and Fiance’ Dawn Bryan. 2 Great Grandchildren: Leann Moore and Kyle Gearheart 2 Great Great Grandchildren: Thomas Moore and Katie Moore. Several Nieces and Nephews Funeral services were conducted on Monday April 23rd at 2:00 pm at the Charley FWB Church by Rev. Jimmy Bevins and Rev. Eric Lauterwasser. Burial was in the Newsome Cemetery at Charley, Kentucky.
