Esther Ellen (Bartram) Adams 84 went to be with the Lord on Monday October 29, 2007. Ellen was born May 14, 1923 in Fort Gay, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Dr. Jay Bartram and Laura (Ellis) Bartram Collier. Esther was a retired secretary and had worked in Columbus, Ohio and St. Louis, Missouri. She had retired to the Easton, Ohio area with her husband and after his passing relocated to Louisa, Kentucky with other family members in 2005. She was a member of Smokey Valley Enterprise Baptist Church, which she greatly enjoyed attending. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Clifford Adams, brothers William J. and Charles Thomas, sisters Mary (Billups) Hughes and Hannah Sneed. She is survived by sister Naomi Napier of Louisa, Kentucky, brothers James Robert (Virginia) Bartram of Jenkins, Kentucky and Jack (Emejean) Bartram of Toledo, Ohio and many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smokey Valley Enterprise Baptist Church on Thursday November 1st at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in the Marion Cemetery at Marion, Ohio. Friends may call from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm Wednesday at Wilson Funeral Home.
