From one EMT to another - thank you, Christa, for your dedication to saving the lives of complete strangers. The entire EMS community is deeply saddened to lose such a great person, great paramedic. You gave the ultimate sacrifice. God Bless you. May you rest in peace
To family and friends,
I will keep you all in my prayers. God Bless

May God help this family during this most devastating time in their lives when it's difficult to imagine a brighter day without their loved one.
Time is the only thing that helps ease the pain, and in time this will happen in spite of the overwhelming grief that you are feeling today.
Christa was taken for a reason that only God knows why, but refering back to the old saying that "the family that prays together, stays together" be confident that one day you can all be together again.
I did not know this young lady, but through the outporing of love and support to this family from so many people it's more than obvious that she was very special.
Continue to comfort her loved ones especially her young daughter during this most tragic event that a child should never have to go through, but in the grand scheme of things under Gods plan must.
I have been there myself at the very same age when I lost my father suddenly many years ago, and time along with the support of family and friends helped me to pick myself back up and continue lifes journey.
My hope 30 years later is that someday I will see my father again.
Please keep the faith, and cherish the memories.
Those precious memories can never be taken from you.
God bless and keep this family.

My prayers go out to Christa's family, co-workers, friends and especialy her daughter. Christa was the EMT that responded when my brother-in-law was found dead. She tried to bring him back but God had greater plans. I hope that the city of Paintsville really gives her the full honors that she deserves. God BLESS!! I WILL ALWAYS BE PRAYING FOR ALL OF YOU!!!

Christa was a very special, and hard working person. I remember when she first came an Emt and when she 1st came a paramedic. She was always willing to do her job with pride and knowledge. She was always kind and smiling during conversation. I felt honored to know and work with Christa.

I was shocked at the news of Christa's death. I have lived in Winchester for 3 years and last saw Christa on Apple Day two years ago. I can still remember our conversation. My little boy was lost, and she heard the news and was helping look for him. She did not even realize it was my son until later, she was just that type of person to always want to help. I met Christa on a bowling league and always looked forward to talking with her, she always made me laugh. My condolence to Olivia, Emily and Haley and all of Christa's family and friends.

Chris was a very nice person. She was always very pleasant to talk with. She cared very deeply for her family and friends. I only worked with Chris for about a year through the EMS billing department. She wanted to make Paintsville Fire and EMS the best department around. I believe she accomplished much in a short time. She will be missed....

I had the honor of meeting Christa as I came through Paintsville on Monday Jan 14 as the coordinator for the Ky EMS Memorial Bike Ride(a ride that honors those killed in the Line Of Duty). She was very supportive of this ride and we were looking forward to meeting back up with her on May 18 as we trekked through Paintsville, little did I know that a week later I would receive an email of her death. So this year I will be riding my bike from Lexington, Ky to Roanoke, Va in Christa's honor. May God be with her Family and Co-Workers. You all are in my prayers and I will see you in May.

Another prime of example that each of us are only a heartbeat away from eternity, and death does not discriminate because of age.
This is why it is so important to cherish your loved ones while they are here with us.
I did not know this young lady although I have heard many great things about her.
God bless the family, friends, and especially the child who has lost a loving mother.
It always saddens me when someone is taken so young and under such tragic circumstances.
Take comfort in understanding that God had plans for Christa, and that he will not put more on us than we can handle.
It's hard to imagine a better day when faced with such a tragedy, but time will help heal the heart.
May God be with you all.
