Cynthia Whitt Bowens 67 of Louisa passed away Sunday evening at the J. J. Jordan Geriatric Center.
Cynthia was born May 25, 1940 in Lawrence County Kentucky, the daughter of the late Hence and Meddie Cains Whitt. Her husband Homer Bowens who died in 1995 and two grandsons Travis Bowens and Joshua Peck preceded her in death. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include four daughters, Libby Debord and fiancé Tim Peck, Nina (Greg) Peck, Della (Bobby) Peck all of Louisa, and Debbie (Mark) Woods of Georgetown, Kentucky. Three sons Bennie (Garnet) Bowens, Lonnie (Shela) Bowens and D. J. Bowens all of Louisa. One brother J.D. Whitt also of Louisa.
Funeral services will be conducted by Elders Jim Lemaster, Johnny Mollett, and Kenny Preece at 2:00 pm Wednesday April 30th at the Wilson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Bowens Cemetery on Big Laurel in Lawrence County. Friends may call after 2:00 pm Tuesday at the Wilson Funeral Home.
