Hi Sylvia & Shay
Samantha & I were very sad to learn of Bill's/your Dad's passing. Please accept our deepest condolences. It is so strange. Over the last several months Bill has been in our thoughts. We kept saying we have to get in touch with Bill. The phone numbers I had for you guys were no good so I could not call. I am sorry, I should have sent a letter. Anyway, Sam went on-line and googled Bill's name along with Webbville KY. To our great sadness, Bill's obituary came up. It was only a couple of days after he died. I am so sorry I was not able to come down before he died. I consider Bill one of my best friends. He always showed me tremendous kindness. I do not know if ever told you how we met, but I thought it would be nice to let u know. I was hitchhiking out near Conway AK on my way to California back in August 1979. Bill was nice enough to pick me up and helped me along on my journey. we went to a Wendy's (first time I ever ate at Wendy's) and had lunch. We struck up a friendship and kept in touch ever since. I always enjoyed getting letters from Bill. He would tell me about jobs he was working on and estimates he was giving. I will always remember the time Bill, Billy Joe & Junior came up here to PA to build our garage. They did a great job and we will always have the garage as a symbol of Bill's friendship. I will miss Bill very much. Take care of yourselves and please let me know if we can do anything for you. Love/ Jim & Samantha
