Leonard Adams Jr. 67 of Grayson, Ky. formerly of Lawrence County passed away on Monday November 10, 2008 at his home.

Leonard was born January 15, 1941 in Lawrence County, the son of the late Leonard Sr. and Elizabeth Moore Adams. He was a disabled Road Construction worker and former Lawrence County Sheriff.

Survivors include his wife Brenda Sprouse Adams

A daughter Sandra and husband Johnny Moore, a step-daughter Gloria and husband Jamie Wells, four sons Michael G. and wife Mary, Chris and wife Sara, Travis and wife Jessica, and Charlie Adams; two step-sons Eric Sprouse and Tyler Gump; a foster son Wayne Jordan; two sisters Lucy Wilson and Mary Lou Jordan, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by brothers Donald, Raymond, Bob, Billy Joe, and Kenneth Eugene.

Funeral services were conducted on Thursday November 13th at 11:00 am at Wilson Funeral Home by Rev. David Boggs. Burial followed in the Leonard Adams Cemetery in Lawrence County.

Sorry to hear about Leonard. I talked to him quiet alot when I had Tyler G. in my class. He was such a pleasure to talk with. The stories he could tell. He will be missed.

Rev., Leonard Adams, Lizzie and their family were relatives of mine and we were closely associated when we lived on Big Blaine Creek in the 1940's....May God confort you in your sorrow...SLS
