1936 - 2008
Wilma K. Gartin 72 of Louisa passed away on Sunday November 9th at her home.
Wilma was born March 25, 1936 in Huntington, WV, the daughter of the late Boyd and Delores Bartram Markin. She was a retired bookkeeper.
Survivors include a daughter Susan Caye Betts, three sons Steven Howard Gartin, Fred Dewayne Gartin, and Michael Ray Gartin, two sisters Winona Markin and Debra Nakamura, four grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services were conducted on Thursday November 13th at 1:00 pm at the Gartin Family Cemetery at Blaine, Kentucky. Burial followed at the cemetery.

Susan, Steven, Fred, Mike, Winona and Debra,
I am very sorry for your loss. Your mom and also your sister was a wonderful person. I had the pleasure of seeing her again this summer on our trip to West Virginia. She was the usual "happy go lucky" person I will always remember. I know there will be tears of sorrow, but I pray that they will turn into tears of joy and happiness for her, she is truly at peace, living pain free and rejoicing in a better place than we can ever imagine. I pray that all will find comfort in the arms of our Lord and Savior. He will give you strength and courage to get through this time. May God bless you and your families. Allow Him to wrap his loving arms around you and comfort you.

You are all in my prayers & I want to send my deepest sympathy on your loss.
I was married to Bill Gartin's son, Steve & my 2 children Angie & Steve are also your relatives.
Please know that I loved Wilma & was always happy to see her.
She always had a smile & a funny story, whether is was something she had done or something that had happened in the family.
Steve Herman was my former husband (he died when I was 2 months pregnant with our son)..Bill Herman was Steve's dad & Doris Ann Carter was his mother.
Again, I am very sorry for your loss.

I am writing to send my prayers and thoughts to all family and friends.. I was Bill Gartin's granddaughter and Steve Gartin's daughter. Wilma was my aunt.. Even though I dont clearly remember her, my mamaw, Doris Abrams, Bill's ex wife , talked very highly of her.. I send my love to all who reads this and please feel free to email me anytime , I like to keep in contact with my papaw Bill's family.

I don't know if we are related. My family is from Blaine. William (Bill) Gartin is my papaw, the late Steve Gartin is my father...Doris Carter is my mamaw. I just want to say, I am sorry for you loss and your family is in my prayers...
