Anthony Lawrence Moore

Anthony Lawrence Moore 84 of Raceland, Kentucky formerly of Lawrence County passed away Friday December 19, 2008 at the Community Hospice Center in Ashland, Kentucky.

Mr. Moore was born October 29, 1924 at Mattie, Kentucky the son of the late James and Eva Blackburn Moore. He was retired from Lennox Industries of Columbus, Ohio and served in the United States Army during World War II. He is preceded in death by his first wife Geneva Cordle Moore and siblings Homer, Randall, Ray, Herman, and Sue Moore.

Survivors include his wife Pearlene Moore of Raceland, Kentucky, four daughters and son-in-laws Sandra and Richard Darby of Raceland, Kentucky, Sharon and Roger Neil of Baltimore, Ohio, Maxine and John Johnson of Columbus, Ohio, and Bonnie and Jerry Yoder of Mt. Sterling, Ohio; a son and daughter-in-law Carl and Vickie Moore of Ashville, Ohio; a step daughter Emma Jean and huband Dave Hopper of Urbana, Ohio and two step sons Edgle and wife Charlene Estep of Springfield, Ohio and Dennis and wife Natalie Estep of Raceland, Kentucky; two sisters Burnett Caudill of Columbus, Ohio and Barbara Jo Thompson of Louisa, Kentucky; eight Grandchildren and eleven Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday December 23rd at 10:00 am at the Wilson Funeral Home by Rev. Roger Bonzo. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 pm Tuesday at the Franklin Hills Memory Gardens in Canal Winchester, Ohio. Friends may call from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Sunday and from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Monday at the Wilson Funeral Home Louisa, Kentucky.

My deepest sympathies to Lawrence's family. He was such a kind and talented person, and I know will be missed by those of us who appreciate the lore and history of Little Blaine. I will always cherish the rocker he made for me.
