1930 - 2009
Myrtle S. Maynard 79 of Savage Branch Catlettsburg, Kentucky went to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday February 17, 2009.
Myrtle was born January 27, 1930 at Johns Creek in Floyd County Kentucky, the daughter of the late Lacy and Nancy Fraley Smith. She was homemaker, lifetime member of the D.A.V.A., a member of the Endicott FWB Church and attended Burnaugh Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband Henry Maynard, three daughters and sons-in-law Harweda and Harold Stone Jr., Bernetta and Robert Chadwick, and Nancy and Clyde Bolling all of Catlettsburg, Kentucky; two sons and daughters-in-law Paul and Shirleen Maynard and Lacy T and Shelly Maynard all of Catlettsburg, Kentucky; a sister Mary Varden Ashteneau of Westland, Michigan; ten grandchildren James Russell Lee Stone and wife Gina, Andra Noble and husband Dustin, Tamra Cannoy, Elizabeth Anna Bolling, SPC William Bolling, E6 Valerie Dawn Kearns and husband Sgt. Derik, E5 Brookley J. Maynard, Molly Maynard, Joshua Maynard, and T Logan Maynard; four great grandchildren Aryanna, Maddux, Korie, and Addalisha.
Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Darrell Howell on Friday February 20th at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Lockwood Cemetery on Savage Branch Catlettsburg, Kentucky. Friends may call from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday at the Wilson Funeral Home.

the whole family of myrtle has my sympathies. i was in the family for 27 years. she was a super aunt in my eyes and i loved all her stories and enjoyed staying with her when we went down in the summer. she was very much loved and will be saddly missed. now her and scott will have a great time in heaven together. love and prayers pat
