Maxine Adkins Shannon 81 of Riceboro, Georgia formerly of Louisa went to be with her Lord on Wednesday February 18, 2009 at Saint Joseph Hospital Savannah, Georgia.
Maxine was born February 4, 1928 at Glenhayes, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Comodore and Nancy Chapman Pope. She was a retired employee of the Louisa Carpet Mills, and a member of the Midway First Baptist Church of Midway, Georgia.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law Olivia and Olin L. Garbeth of Riceboro, Ga. And a son and daughter-in-law Charles F. and Elaine Adkins of Louisa, Kentucky, 4 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted by Dr. James A. Hayes on Saturday February 21st at noon at the Wilson Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Wallace Cemetery at Louisa, Kentucky.
