Harold E. Maynard Mr. Harold Edward Maynard, 66, of Fort Gay, WV passed away February 20, 2009 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. He was born January 4, 1943 at Clifford, Ky., a son of the late Roy and Nelcie Maynard. He was a member of Saltpetre Christian Baptist Church, President of the Vietnam Veterans Association of Fort Gay and retired from Inco Alloys International. He was preceded in death by two brothers Glen Maynard and Jack Maynard.

He is survived by his wife Sheila Audine Maynard and two daughters Janet Wellman and husband Terry and Melissa Meredith and husband Button of Fort Gay, three grandchildren Aaron Wellman, Justin Meredith, and Kendra Meredith of Fort Gay, one sister Goldie Taylor of Rising Sun, Indiana and one special brother-in-law and sister-in-law Gene and Sandy Campbell of Fort Gay and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Richard Maynard on Monday February 23rd at 2:00 pm at the Saltpetre Christian Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Fort Gay Cemetery. Friends may call after 5:00 pm Sunday at Wilson Funeral Home.

Mr. Maynard will lie in state at the church 1 hour before services.

My deepest condolences in the passing of Harold. He was my supervisor at the plant for a few years. He was a good man to work for and a very nice person. My thoughts and prayers are with you during your loss.
