Arnold D. EvansArnold D. Evans 73 of Flatwoods, Kentucky passed away Friday February 27, 2009 at Community Hospice in Ashland, Kentucky.

Arnold was born February 6, 1936 in Overta, Kentucky the son of the late John Lewis and Elva Crabtree Evans. He was a retired machinst.

Survivors include his loving wife Dixie Marie Spillman Evans, a daughter Brenda Kay Wells of Flatwoods, Ky., a son Ronald Ray Evans of Alexandria, Ky., three sister Mary Nagles, Hazel Hogston, and Irene Blankenship all of Webbville, Ky., two brothers Joe Evans of Webbville, Ky. and Roger Evans of Russell, Ky., six grandchildren Mark Blake, Christina Hairston, Desiree Benge, Brian Blake, Bradley Evans, and Olivia Evans, thirteen great grandchildren Alex, Ashely, Abbey, Emma, Kayla, Brianna, Braylon, Myles, Candace, Brandon, Brenna, Destiny, and Baby Benge.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday March 2nd at 11:00 am at the Wilson Funeral Home by Rev. Jeff Cremeans and Rev. Leon Dalton. Burial will follow in the Dixie Memorial Gardens at Webbville, Ky. Friends may call from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Sunday at Wilson Funeral Home.

Dixie & family - Please accept my condolences. I called you after I saw the obituary in the Ashland Paper and left a message. I think you all are very sweet and I am glad that I got to meet you even though it was through trying times. Love & prayers, Rose Ann
