John F. Ratliff John F. Ratliff, 81, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at home surrounded by family. Born on June 30, 1927 in Elliot County, Ky., he was the son of the late Paul and Esta Sparks Ratliff. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Viola Hooley and Helen Hoffman; son, David Joe Ratliff and daughter Deborah Ratliff.

He is survived by his loving wife Elaine Ratliff, of Titusville, Florida, son James Ratliff (and wife Debbie) of Louisa, KY; son Kenneth Ratliff (and wife Linda) of Mansfield, OH; step-daughter Sandra New (and husband Bob) of Titusville, FL.; brothers, Emmitt Ratliff (and wife Joyce) of Louisa, KY, Silas Ratliff, of Louisa, KY, 5 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

John moved to Titusville, FL in 1984 where he worked as a finish carpenter for OBrien Construction Company until his retirement. He attended the First Free Will Baptist Church of Titusville and enjoyed boating and fishing. Grandpa John spent many hours sharing his love of fishing with his great grandson Austin Landen.

Calling hours will be from 5-8 pm on Saturday, March 14th at Wilson Funeral Home in Louisa, KY. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 15th at 2pm at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Maynard officiating. Burial will be in the Fort Gay Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of St. Francis, 1250-B Grumman Pl., Titusville, FL., 32780.
